Started as a Learner Support Centre(MIMAT) of the flagship educational institution of the Diocese of Alleppey, St. Michael's College, the institution obtained the affiliation of the University of Kerala as a Self Financing College. It commenced functioning in June 2015 with two undergraduate courses -BCom with Finance as Elective and BCA. Under the able leadership of Rev. Fr. Solomon Charanghat, the first Manager and Prof.A V John Joseph the first Principal, and Rev. Fr. Celestine Puthenpurackal, the Asst. Manager, the college developed into a notable center of higher education imparting value-centered, quality-oriented training to the students coming to its fold. In 2017 Rev. Fr. Sony Xavier Panackal was appointed the Manager and the construction of the new building was effectualized during his tenure. Prof. Tessy Lalachan took charge as the Principal in June 2018 and the steady progressive journey in tune with the standards of excellence expected of a center of higher education continued. On December 26th, 2018, H.E.Rt. Rev. Dr.StephenAthipozhiyil the then Bishop of Alleppey Diocese and the Patron of the College blessed the new building and H.E.Rt.Rev. Dr.James Raphael Anaparambil, then the Coadjutor Bishop, unveiled the memorial plaque. In April 2019, Rev. Fr. Nelson Thaiparambil assumed charge as the Manager with Rev. Fr.JoyPazhampassery as the Pro Manager. Efforts to sanction new courses were initiated.In 2021, B.Com with Travel and Tourism as an Elective was sanctioned.    Rev. Fr.Dr.Celestine Puthenpurackal took charge as the Associate Manager of the institution in June 2023 and was appointed as manager in June 2024, and the qualitative ventures were carried forward. Initiatives to bring in new and innovative courses in tune with the recent trends geared up. With the blessings of our Patron, Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr.James Raphael Anaparambil and the guidance of our Manager Rev. Fr. Dr.Celestine Puthenpurackal the institution is striding the pathways of progress upholding the ideals of equality, peace, and justice, and grounded in secular values. It caters to the educational needs of the neighborhood community offering quality education at affordable rates and is committed to the relentless quest for excellence.
